Thanks to Dave Hamilton for submitting a photo of himself near the Mackinac Bridge! Dave moved to Ypsi in 1968 to attend EMU. After graduating he decided to stay. While he is not a native he feels like one.
More than likely you’ve seen Dave’s signs around town. He has sold and leased commercial real estate for Swisher Commercial for 40 years. He has helped some Ypsi greats such as Beezy’s Cafe and Liquid Swordz obtain their locations. I guess that makes Dave an Ypsi great himself :)
There are 100 images that have been carefully chosen from all of the images taken for the Ypsi Project, chosen to hang in the exhibit on June 5th. When the one day exhibit is over we would like to offer these prints for sale! Each portrait is unique, has it’s own story and is a great way to support this project and have a piece of it for your very own.
There are already a select few that have been donated or have plans to be displayed elsewhere and the remaining are available for you to choose from. The 8 x10 selections can be viewed here and the 10 x 13 selections can be viewed here. The 16 x 20 selections will be available for viewing soon!
Of course you are also welcome to come and pick out a print at the show! We would love to see you :)
